#MINDFULMOVEMENT at JMS
#MindfulMovementWithMrsMeyer was an absolute blast! Mrs. Meyer and students focused on community with Tree Circle and trust walking, and finished with the community circle worksheet! The #mindfulness curriculum is being offered to students throughout the school day, at all JPS schools, as a way to learn skills to develop self-regulation, manage strong emotions, and build physical and emotional strength. This integrated approach to wellness uses mindful-based movement, breathing techniques, social/emotional skill development and relaxation techniques to meet student's emotional, physical and mental needs.

Earlier this month, Jordan Middle School grade seven Family and Consumer Sciences students brought the flavors of fall to life with a hands-on cooking project that filled the classroom and hallways with the smell of warm spices, baked treats, and cozy comfort foods.
